Worst Company In America Round 1: Google Vs. Facebook

Two of the Internet’s coolest kids take a break from collecting every possible bit of data about consumers in order to beat each other into submission in a much-anticipated WCIA cage match.

Hailing from Mountainview in the state of Californ-i-a, comes the Google Grappler, who has been training hard to bolster his WCIA bona fides. Not only has he been up to his old anticompetitive antics, he’s also decided to get into the electronics business, where he’s demonstrated about the same care for customer service as everyone else in the industry.

Today, Google goes up against the Monster of Menlo Park… Facebook, which is not only working to make sure that, by 2017, humans only communicate with each other by posting inspirational quotes over stock photos of flowers, birds, and sunrises, but also wants to know — and share — everything it can about your on- and offline behavior. And let’s not forget all the new add-on services, like charging to send messages or to “promote” a status update.

Just last week, Facebook shoved a pretty huge middle finger in Google’s face, when it decided that Android users can — and should — just get their Facebook app updates directly through Facebook rather than having to go through the Google Play store.

Let’s just get this over with and vote.
