How Was Your Price-Matching Experience This Holiday Season?

With only a few hours left before most stores close for the Christmas holiday and the only last-minute gift options you have left will be found on the shelves of convenience stores and 24-hour drugstores, it’s now time to reflect on the shopping season that was.

A lot of retailers offered price-matching of both their own websites and competitor sites like Amazon.com this year, but judging by some of the e-mails that have popped up in the Consumerist tipline during the last month, not every store and every employee was well-versed on these price-matching policies.

So we want to hear from those of you who went into the stores with Amazon pages bookmarked on your smartphone or with reams of competitors’ ad circulars to back up your claim. Write to us at tips@consumerist.com and tell us the good, bad, ugly, and the uniquely exotic of your attempts at trying to get a retailer to make good on their price-match policy.
