Even Alec Baldwin Isn't Allowed To Play On His Phone During Takeoff

Celebrities are having a harder time staying on flights this week than the Indianapolis Colts are at winning games. After country musician John Rich was booted off a Southwest Airlines flight Sunday for allegedly getting involved in an altercation with other passengers, Alec Baldwin got the hook from an American Airlines flight Tuesday, apparently due to his addiction to the game Words with Friends.

His spokesman told CNN “He loves WWF so much that he was willing to leave a plane for it, but he has already boarded another AA flight.”

The spokesman did not confirm whether or not Baldwin was forced to leave the flight because he insisted on messing with his phone when the crew told passengers to turn off devices. Apparently Baldwin wasn’t the only one who didn’t feel like putting his phone away, because a Twitter post from another passenger quoted in the story said the plane had to return to the gate so Baldwin could be removed from the flight.

American Airlines declined comment.

Baldwin’s own explanation was “Flight attendant on American reamed me out 4 playing WORDS W FRIENDS while we sat at the gate, not moving. #nowonderamericaairisbankrupt”

Baldwin later suggested that he had shifted his allegiance to United Airways.
