Garmin Won't Sell PO Box Holders Electronic Downloads

Brian is stationed in Saudi Arabia, and doesn’t have a street address where mail and packages can be delivered. That’s okay, though: the purchase he wanted to make from Garmin is a digital download. No need to worry about where to deliver it. Right? Well, not really.

I’m stationed in Saudi and my only address is a PO Box. There are no postal deliveries in Saudi and all mail goes to POBs.

The Garmin website refuses to sell me a map update as “some couriers will not deliver to PO Boxes”.

It’s a purely electronic download.

Go figure.

Sure, he could have a friend order the download and send it to him, but the lack of logic displayed here is just exquisite.
