FiOS Bringing 26 Channels Of Live TV To Xbox 360

As we wrote early last month, the folks at Microsoft had signed some sort of then-nebulous deal with Verizon FiOS to bring more live TV options to Xbox 360 users. Now, as the twosome prepares to roll out its offerings, details of the deal have finally been released.

First off, you need to be a subscriber to both FiOS TV and FiOS internet and have an Xbox Live Gold membership.

For that, you get access to the following:
BET
Cinemax
CNN
Comedy Central
ESPNews
Food Network
HBO 2
HBO
HGTV
MTV
Nickelodeon
Spike
TBS
TNT
Travel Channel
truTV
VH1

And these channels in standard definition:
Boomerang
Cartoon Network
DIY
Hallmark Channel
HLN
MTV2
Nick Jr
TCM
TV Land

We’re assuming that you would need a subscription to HBO/Cinemax to access those channels.

Verizon says the FiOS app, which will be available next month, will also be integrated into the Xbox’s Kinect peripheral, so — we presume — you can just say “softcore T&A” and it will know you want to watch Cinemax’s finest offerings.
