Cox Giving Service Credits For Irene, Comcast Not Really

Cox Communications is giving out credits for users who lost cable service during Hurricane Irene. Here’s how to get it:

Go to cox.com/support and click “send an email to cox.com.” In your message, indicate how long your service was out.

In contrast, Comcast will only be giving out credits to the small number of people whose loss of service was not solely caused by the power going out. They told Kotaku that Irene falls under the “Act of God” clause and they will be judging refund request on a case-by-case basis.
