Quick Fixes To Up Your Credit Score

Sweeping things you can do to improve your credit score, such as paying off large loans, aren’t the only moves you can make to appear more attractive to lenders. Small, immediate fixes to your personal finances can go a long way toward your goal.

MSN Money offers the following credit-improving tips:

*Set up automatic bill pay. Paying your bills on time is one way to boost your score, and auto-payments streamline the process. Just make sure you have enough money in your accounts to cover the amounts you owe.

*Pay down credit cards. Use less than 35 percent of your credit limit to avoid appearing overextended. Prioritize paying down credit cards that are closer to their limits.

*Be quick about credit card payments. If you spend a lot on credit cards, don’t wait until the due date to pay them off, because doing so can make it look like you’re carrying more debt than you are.
