McDonald's Manager Accused Of Punching Customer

It’s rarely wise to punch someone, but doing so is especially ill-advised if you happen to manage a restaurant and the recipient of the punch is a customer. Police say a female manager of an Atlanta McDonald’s slugged a female customer in the face amid an argument over the presence of her autistic twin boys’ service dog.

According to WSBTV Atlanta, police say the manager told the mother that the dog wasn’t allowed in the store. Some time later the woman lost track of one of her sons and threw her drink in a panic, which splashed on the manager, who was following her. The manager then slugged the woman and chased her around the restaurant.

The store owners released a statement about the incident:

“At our McDonald’s restaurant, we respect and value our customers. Their safety and well-being is always a top priority.

“We strive to comply with all applicable laws, including the Americans with Disabilities Act. It is our policy to make our restaurants accessible to all customers, including those with disabilities and special needs, whether or not they need the assistance of service animals.

“We are fully cooperating with the police department in their investigation, and the individual involved is no longer employed by our company. “

A warrant has been issued for the manager’s arrest.
