Budget Cuts Force Coney Island To Ration Toilet Paper

Coney Island has removed the toilet paper from women’s stalls and is forcing patrons to form a line to get their ration of TP squares from a Park’s Department bathroom attendant. Pictured at left, is the queue.

New York Post reports that budgeting shortfalls have forced the city to limit the amount of toilet paper on hand. That’s right, in a strange municipal budgeting anomaly, the New York Parks department can’t afford to stock enough toilet paper, but they can afford to pay someone to hand it out. And it’s still single-ply.

So if you’re visiting New York’s historic and beautiful Coney Island this summer, better bring a packet of handi-wipes!
