Current, Former Washington Redskins Make Goal Line Stand For TSA Worker Unionization

Transportation Security Administration workers have some unlikely allies in their struggle to organize: A pair of pro football players. A Huffington Post story says TSA workers are angry about what they say are problematic pay raise and disciplinary systems, as well as understaffing.

TSA administrator granted the workers collective bargaining rights in February, and the next step for the employees is to form a union. “With the lockout going on, it’s good to come out and support a fellow union, even though we’re not recognized anymore,” the current player said, referencing the NFL Players Association decertification amid its ongoing dispute with the league.
