Target & UPS Try To Destroy My Dyson During Shipping

It’s a conspiracy! At least according to Consumerist reader Terrance, who says Target’s poor packing job combined with UPS paltry efforts to handle his Dyson with care resulted in a sham of an attempt to deliver his product intact.

He sent in the battered product, covered with some clear tape and a shipping label smacked on it, writing:

I figured the readers at The Consumerist enjoy seeing this wonderful “green” packaging attempt by Target. And UPS treats the Dyson vacuum like a soccer ball. What can Brown do for me? Destroying my Dyson vacuum is plenty. Thanks UPS! I’m taking this back to the Target store for an explanation! Isn’t semi-fragile objects supposed to be placed
in a box with some sort of padding?

He adds that when he took it back, the employees at Target were horrified as well.

We never buy our friends the Dyson from wedding off the wedding registry, we know that those things are expensive!
