Xbox Live rule enforcement comes with its risks. A Microsoft employee who serves as director of policy and enforcement for Xbox Live suffered an apparent attack from hackers who seized his personal site and Xbox Live account.

Kotaku reports the “Xbox cop” is often Microsoft’s mouthpiece for major announcements of bans of gamers accused of piracy or cheating.

The Xbox cop says Network Solutions is investigating the problem and confirmed that his site has been compromised.
