Worst Company In America Sweet 16: Walmart Vs. Delta

Two sultans of suck square off in today’s Sweet 16 match-up that pits big box stores against jumbo jets.

In the first round of this year’s WCIA tournament, Walmart bullied the nerds at GameStop into submission. And while the fight was a blow-out, many tourney insiders believe that Big W’s margin of victory should have been greater than it was.

Speaking of slim margins, Delta’s grounding of United/Continental was one of the tightest early round bouts. But Delta’s triumph, however narrow, proved that while it may no longer be the biggest airline in the country anymore, it’s still the worst.

Neither competitor has fared well in the later rounds of previous Worst Company In America tournaments, so it will be interesting to see which of these two terrors lives on to be crappy another day.

This poll is now closed. Congratulations to Walmart!
