Bestselling Business Books Now Available In Comic Book Form

Even the most accessible books about business and personal finance can tend to be dry reads. That’s why a publishing company is releasing a handful of these titles in the always fun comic book format.

Along with classic strategy book The Art of War, Chicago-based Round Table Companies has translated more recent bestsellers like Larry Winget’s Shut Up, Stop Whining & Get a Life and The Long Tail: Why the Future of Business Is Selling Less of More from Wired’s Chris Anderson into graphic nonfiction.

“We’re taking the PowerPoint version of these books and illustrating them out,” explains Round Table’s president to Forbes.com. “When you pick up The Long Tail, you know you’re going to have to work to get through the book.”

The company got a great deal on these titles. Each of the authors sold the rights for only $100, in exchange for 20% royalty deals. Paperbacks sell for $12.95 each, iPad versions for $6.99; eBooks for smartphones are slightly less and online-only versions of the ebooks are free via Paypal.
