Netflix Will Subtitle 80 Percent Of Streaming Videos By End Of Year

Netflix has been working on adding subtitles to streaming content for a while, and has made significant headway since last year.

The Netflix Blog says about 30 percent of films on the service now offer the feature, which is key for the hearing impaired, treadmill users and parents who don’t want their kids to duck and cover from f-bombs. Netflix plans on making streaming subtitles close to ubiquitous by year’s end, attaching them to 80 percent of the films it offers.

For a list of movies that offer subtitles, check out Netflix’s database.
