Those of you who, like me, live in hurricane-prone or other weather-disaster-prone areas, please pick up this Haier TV and a source of portable electricity (generator or battery pack) to make it run longer when the batteries wear out. It’s not a perfect gadget by any means but it is the best way of getting emergency TV reports when the house power is out.

Cool. I don’t have cable and can’t mount an outside antenna to my ground-floor apartment, but otherwise very good info.
sometimes when the power goes out, the cable will still be on. Not all the time, but it happens.
