If you’re having trouble accessing those free Kaplan test prep books we told you about a few days ago, make sure to download the iBooks app first. It makes the book download happen all lickity split.
Earlier today I was trying to get the books on my iPhone 4 and the screen just kept flashing between a Safari page and an iTunes page. After getting the free Apple iBooks app, though, the books downloaded quite smoothly. Now I’ll be sweating over logic problems in no time.
To recap, Kaplan is giving away over 90 free standardized test prep books, but you’ll have to visit http://kaplanpublishing.com/iTunes on your mobile browser to get access. SAT, MCAT, GRE, ETC. ETC, it’s all there free until August 30.

Um, no one said anything about jealousy, but this article clearly says “Mobile Users” and there is a large set of Mobile Users who are NOT iPhone users. I like my boyfriend’s iPhone and I don’t have any problem with them, but they are NOT the only mobile devices.

I should add that this is still a good deal. i told my wife about it the other day and she compared a lot of the nursing books to her physical ones and they complement each other well.

Yes, because with several different editors working on the site, there’s never been a single duplicate story before, right? Of course the answer has to be that they’re on the take!
Any relation to the Kaplan “University” people? If so, stay far, far away.
I can’t connect. I should be able to, but it just sits there trying to connect, and has been for about a half an hour now. I’m not stressing it, though it would have been kind of cool to see what they have to offer, but I just wanted to give folks a heads-up that they might not be able to get in to snag these.
Actually there are no free LSAT books, probably thanks to the LSAC’s licensing fees.
Honestly, it’s worth it to take the class. The verbal instruction adds a great deal of depth. I can’t imagine having taken the LSAT without doing a course first.
