Morning Deals are purely an informational service for the readers. Consumerist receives nothing in exchange for their posting.
If you have a tip for Morning Deals, send it to tips@consumerist.com, and be sure to put “morning deals” in the subject line.

If Jos A Bank (or as my wife calls it, Jose Banks) is ALWAYS having a sale – and they are – is it really a sale?
But…Bizzaro Shatner told me that nothing beats a sale…
It sounds extreme, but I do wish it was a federal law that an item can only be listed as “on sale” for a certain time period before it becomes false advertising. Seriously, if it’s always listed as on sale, then the sale price IS the price, and it shouldn’t stated as on sale.
It’s like Kohl’s. You just come to terms that there’s always a sale and everything is marked up 200%, so you never buy something unless it’s at least 50% off. Something though about the ‘Kohl’s Sale’ marketing method works since my Mom LOVES it and will got on the sale days with coupons and give cards from paying off her Kohl’s card quickly.
These “Gaming Bee” giveaways are a drawing, not just a giveaway where everyone gets a free copy. 1 person a week from an unknown pool of people wins the game.
Is it called an HP Envy because it looks like a Macbook?
Is it called an HP Envy because it looks like a Macbook?
That is an AWESOME kitteh.
I’m curious:
Why does one LCD HDTV offer in the list go into the Computers & Electronics category, while another LCD HDTV offer, for almost the same price, wind up in Entertainment instead? Is there some difference between them somehow? Is it some weird Consumerist policy to divide similar deals among different categories? Is it a typo?
I’ve been wondering about things like this for a while now.
