Got an extra $3.6 million laying around? For that chunk of cash you could purchase a piece of one of Holllywood’s most legendary tragedies: The Brentwood, Calif. home Marilyn Monroe died in is up for sale.
RealEstalker.com notes the listing, which went up on Friday on David Offer of Prudential California Realty’s site. The New York Daily News reports that potential buyers were seen soon after, waiting outside the gate to get a tour.
Marilyn took ownership of the 23,000 square-foot, three-bedroom home in 1962 for $90,000, and was found dead in her bedroom six months later.
Kinda spooky, but then again, owning such an iconic part of history is kinda cool, too.
