Looking for the perfect appliance store? Sorry, it doesn’t exist. But, there are some that are pretty good, according to Consumer Reports. Abt Electronics, a Chicago based company, scored high on CR’s survey of the best appliance retailers for overall customer approval. One reason: knowledgeable salespeople. The top gripes included stores trying to sell extended warranties. The pushiest retailers: P.C. Richard & Son, Sears, Best Buy, and hhgregg. [Consumer Reports]

I’ve always done well at the scratch and dent Sears Outlet. There’s nothing like finding a deeply discounted washing machine with minor cosmetic damage. That scratch on the side doesn’t bother the spiders in my basement one bit.
My father as well as every girlfriends father have shared that exact same knowledge with me. Sometimes I think that is the only reason Sears is still in business…
I like “Sargent Appliance” in Clinton Township and Rochester, Mich. Those guys are great and are very kind. Good service man!
And they deliver when they SAY they’re going to deliver.
How’s that?
