It seems the Grocery Embiggen Ray, the antithesis of the Grocery Shrink Ray, has struck Safeway Select ice cream and they’re offering up a whole two quarts, just like ice cream makers used to all do back in the old timey days.
It’s been a long time since ice cream came in real half-gallon sizes. Years ago, most manufacturers went down to 1.75 and even 1.5 quarts, with Blue Bell as one of the lone holdouts.
I’m gonna call it: This officially marks the end of the recession.
