Free Security Software Good Enough For Most. Consumer Reports is out with its latest ratings of computer security software, and the results are good for you, but may be disappointing for some big software companies. According to CR, free software, including some that comes preinstalled with most computers, “should adequately protect all but the most at-risk Internet users from viruses, spyware, and other online threats.” [Consumer Reports]
