What Was Your First Car?

Yesterday, we posted Consumer Reports’ selections for the best cars for teen drivers. That list, on which the least expensive car was priced at $9,900, drew quite a bit of heat from readers who thought the listed cars too pricey for teens. That’s why we want to hear about your first ride.

As I mentioned yesterday, mine was a ’71 Chevy Malibu I inherited from a great aunt who was no longer able to drive. Despite being 22 years old, the car only had 21,000 miles on it. But it also had the original exhaust system… and probably the original oil. And somehow the passenger side seatbelt had gone AWOL. It was also pickle green. And I loved it.

There, I shared mine… now you share yours…
