UPS Tells Me My Package Took 'The Scenic Route'

CMT ordered a Newegg package that took what a UPS CSR told him was a “scenic route” from California to Tennessee, seemingly circling his city before eventually meandering in. He writes:

Below is the route my yet undelivered package is tacking from New Egg’s distribution center in California to my home in Chattanooga.

If you do not see the humor in this then you are unfamiliar with this part of the country or you do not have a map. If you do have a map then plot the course of this package and scratch your head and wonder how UPS can keep operating! This package has almost completed a circle around Chattanooga. Logical next point of this route will be Nashville, then Huntsville, AL, then back to Hapeville (Atlanta, GA) and the perfect circle is complete!

CMT checked in yesterday, revealing the package finally worked its way to him the day after he sent the previous email:

I contacted UPS by phone and the package arrived on the 18th. I had to call them this was getting out of hand. The CS told me several packages had gone the “scenic route” this holiday season.

If you remember a package of your own taking a similarly circuitous route, let us know in the comments.
