AT&T CSR Recommends I Use Skype Rather Than Rely On Network

While in Brooklyn, Simon suffered dropped calls on his iPhone 3G S and complained to AT&T on its Facebook page. He heard back from customer service with some reasonable yet embarrassing advice. He forwarded us the email:

I believe you can make phone calls over wifi – but it would be done through the Skype application, I’ve spoken to some customers while using it.

Here are a few selected replies for AT&T CSRs:

-“I’ve heard you can hack the iPhone and use it through a carrier with reasonable service.”

-“I’ve heard you can text your contacts rather than talk to them.”

-“I’ve heard you can pay Luke Wilson to shill for your inadequate coverage rather than spend the money upgrading your infrastructure.”

This is fun. Your turn!
