@Bhockzer: That's too bad. My parents have been thinking about getting each other a 50" for Christmas this year, and that would have been the best price I've seen by far.
@Kimaroo - Fortified with Kittydus Purrularis: If its anything like when I ordered prescriptions that needed to be refrigerated through the mail I wouldn't be worried. They were packed in nifty coolers with freezer packs. Once it even survived a stupid UPS snafu where I had to wait over the weekend to pick up my package.
@Kimaroo - Fortified with Kittydus Purrularis: They are vacuum bag sealed as well as chilled w/ dry ice packs. Consider that almost all of your restaurant chain food is stored in freezer warehouses as big as a sam's club for months and months at a time...
@Oranges w/ Cheese wants it to be winter already: I think I've heard that they come this way.. but I've just seen some really horrible things happen to packages.. so.. I dunno.
It's not that I logically think it's wrong to order meat online (or in a catalog or whatever) it's just something irrational that gives me the creeps about it.
@orielbean: I don't have any problems with the idea of frozen meat.
Vacuum sealed bags do make it sound better though.
@Kimaroo - Fortified with Kittydus Purrularis: There's a storefront location on the North side of Westheimer, just as you pass the Galleria and go under 610 towards town, in a strip mall with a CVS.
@Kimaroo - Fortified with Kittydus Purrularis:
Then you should really try not to think about the myriad of transport options that are used to get your meat from the farm to the slaughterhouse to your grocery store.
@Kimaroo - Fortified with Kittydus Purrularis: They ship lady bugs out to farmers, and IIRC, they only ship with the USPS, because the USPS is the only ones that seems to be able to deliver them alive.
@Kimaroo - Fortified with Kittydus Purrularis: And don't forget Lobster Gram. They deliver LIVE lobsters. But I heard it's impractical with cows. The stamps fall off.

The Walmart "[HDTV/Blu-ray] Viore 50" 1080p LCD TV, Blu-ray Player, & Soundbar $748 + free shipping to store" is actually a Viore 40" 1080p LCD TV, not the 50" that's listed on dealzon.com.
