So while many of us can attend, the Consumerist can't because it's not old enough to drink, and it's also way past it's bedtime.

Can't wait to see you all there. To clear up ANY confusion, I will be the guy in the cowboy hat with the GREEN LED name tag. I am a semi-normal person, so don't feel intimidated by me. Please come up and say howdy. I'm glad to meet ya!

@GitEmSteveDave_ H1N1 Symptoms List: For those with no imagination, I will be wearing this hat:

With this T-shirt(click for larger):

With the bottom nametag here:

Would be nice to hear back from my email to you on networking efforts between consumerist meetups in different cities, Ben. Thanks.

user-pic

@GitEmSteveDave_ H1N1 Symptoms List: so i'm confused. you'll be the one carrying the pissed off cat?

user-pic

I will be attending the Consumerist Skype Meetup online in my home. It's just cheaper that way.

user-pic

For a brief moment on Wednesday, I shall be fleetingly sad that I don't live in or around NYC and can't come meet y'all.

And then I shall go back to being glad I live not just in flyover country, but in the back ass of flyover country. 'Cause I likes it here!

As Kimaroo, the koala kitty said earlier, we will be having a Consumerist Skype Meetup tomorrow. Unless we dont have it.

In any case, Interested parties can join in. If you can find us. (Yes, it is a bit of a snooping job, but its not too hard). (Hint: Twitter would be a good starting point).

Note however: Trolls will be VERY severely dealt with. Your definition of a troll may vary.

Also, we tend to go wildly off topic, in to territories that SCREAM "TMI". Enter at your own risk.

Though I think just for the new people we will try to keep it clean tomorrow.

So who is up for it?

user-pic

@MostlyHarmless: Was just kidding about the "find me if you can part". I'll post my sykpe id here as soon as i create a new one.

user-pic

@Eyebrows McGee (now with more baby!): Please, do join us on Skype tomorrow night. I think it will be fun. (And free!)

user-pic

@GitEmSteveDave_ H1N1 Symptoms List: That's what you think! I live in a state where as long as the bar serves food, it's open-access. I see lots of people with babies at bars now that we're smoke-free! (But not Mini McGee, there's too much flu out there.)

user-pic

@Kimaroo - Fortified with Kittydus Purrularis: I teach on Wednesdays or I would. :) I'll be explaining Descartes' Cogito Ergo Sum to freshmen.

user-pic

@Eyebrows McGee (now with more baby!): Well I assume that if it goes well we'll want to do it more oftin than just once.

user-pic

If it weren't for the Yankee game I'd be there..have fun

user-pic

After seeing many of the other posters here, I'm surprised a DC meetup isn't in the works.

Or, is it?

user-pic

@nbs2: I fully support that, although some people got all huffy when I brought Ben and Meg to Recessions last time.

user-pic

Check out nycgarages.com to see about finding possibly cheap parking garages close to the meet-up - hope this helps anyone who is driving in!

user-pic

@Alex Chasick: Huffy? Who got huffy?

My only problem with that event was that I wasn't 21 yet. But now I fully support this. Either that or an NYC meetup on a weekend.

user-pic

@mac-phisto: It'd be kind of awesome if it turned out, after all this time, that SteveDave was a preternaturally intelligent cat madly typing on his owner's laptop while she was away.

user-pic

So there's no way I can convince you to move it to the following Saturday? What if I sang? Threatened to Sing? Promised to NOT sing?

Why, I'd even show my receipt!

Sigh - maybe next year.

user-pic

@ExtraCelestial: Why not a compromise - DC on a weekend. At least, that would work best for me.

Although I am going to be a bit busy in December, what with a new baby and all. Plus, I'd rather avoid Thanskgiving-New Years traffic on the Beltway.

user-pic

@GitEmSteveDave_ H1N1 Symptoms List: I can attest that GESD is normal and a fine person to talk to. But the nametag makes me a little dizzy.

user-pic

unfortunately I will be unable to attend due to I live in the midwest :(

user-pic

@Three Word Chant: We need Consumerist meet up UK/France/Japan/Other...

user-pic

I can't go, but I've been to NYC before.

If you aren't from NYC/around there:
Houston = house-ton.

(For like a week after I left NYC, I got pissed when people said it like the Texas city.)

user-pic

@MostlyHarmless: Reminds me of the sign outside a bakery in my town. "We are open..." (fine print on bottom of sign) "...until we close."

user-pic

@MostlyHarmless: Gaaaah! I don't have Skype or Twitter or anything. I'm hopelessly behind!

user-pic

@HogwartsAlum: Well both are free, and neither require any special equipment. Go Get Em Girl!

We'd love to have you there :)

user-pic

@GitEmSteveDave_ H1N1 Symptoms List: So you'll be the one wearing the hat but not the face in the pic????????? Joking. You have a memorable face- Tomm I'll be working on my knack for remembering faces instead. See you there.

user-pic

@Laura Northrup: bingo!
[will you be playing bingo at the meetup?]

user-pic

@Eyebrows McGee (now with more baby!): and that's why i left work early today, to keep from spreading the buggies that i felt creeping up on me this afternoon.

user-pic

@MostlyHarmless: until they shut down your computer... *sigh*
my computer hates skype i think

user-pic

@MostlyHarmless: I won't have my laptop with me, so I'll be adding you all back on Twitter so I'll have entertainment on the train.

user-pic

I'll be there! I was excited because this bar is close to my office then I stupidly took tomorrow off, so now I'm making a special trip just to meet you all.

user-pic

@mbressman: [primospot.com] is good too; most street parking opens up after 6.

user-pic

@Laura Northrup: Yay! Follow us again. You know you miss our inane spam.

user-pic

@HogwartsAlum: Yes, please find us. We are lots of fun, if totally inappropriate at times.

user-pic

@MostlyHarmless: We'd better be having it. I haven't seen BF in like 2 weeks, and I told him not to bother coming home tomorrow night because I was otherwise committed.

In the words of Mrs. Aroo - It is on.

user-pic

@GitEmSteveDave_ H1N1 Symptoms List: I feel his eyes no matter where I go. Even if I scroll down.
