Yesterday, we reported that production at the ConAgra facility where Slim Jims are manufactured will not resume until fall due to damage from the horrific explosion in June. This information is incorrect. Employees will return to work on July 19, and production will resume on July 27. [WRAL] (Thanks, Lon!)

@Laura Northrup: I see it right on the home page, but still June when you click the story. And I refreshed.
@Laura Northrup: Fail at fixing the typo.
However, it would be pretty cool if the factory does all this by itself without workers that didn't show up for 20 some days.
In addition to the ground and pressed sticks that are commonly known as Slim Jims, they have regular beef jerky products that are similar nutritionally to other brands of beef jerky.
@Cant_stop_the_rock: Aren't they all chemicaled (new word..) up? Everytime I check out an ingredient list for a beef jerky product I shudder.

Interesting that they can run production for 22 days without any employees. They must use a fully automated dried sausage stick pump. Come to think of it, I could use one of those, myself.
