and i can't think of any more reasonably large bankruptcies.

ok, i got 2. and i didn't know that Texaco had declared bankruptcy back in '87 (in my defense, i was 2 months old at the time)

It is funny how 90% of them happened the last decade. I guess running a government policy based on giving mega-corps whatever the hell they want with little oversight is actually bad for business over the long haul, when all is said and done.
Of the 10, only one (Texaco @ No. 10) did not occur in the past decade. I'd like to see inflation adjusted numbers, but I doubt it would make a huge difference.
On an unrelated side note, I very much dislike the slideshow format a select group of website designers insist on using.
