hm, this will come in handy - in january, when we switched to Aetna from BCBS-GA, they had a hard time authorizing my insulin pump supplies... i always had to fight through a phone tree to get to someone.
@hillsrovey: Sometimes they will respond more quickly to an agent. If you have access to the agency that placed your coverage, you may want to enlist their help. Ours has been extraordinary.

Man, I could have used this a year ago when they told me a claim would be covered...but then said it wasn't after I incurred the $1000 claim.
I guess I could still call and try to appeal it...
...couldn't hurt.
FWIW, dealing with Aetna has been relatively easy, unlike Anthem BCBS which was like meandering through the 10th Circle. We've had them for a few years now and they've been responsive. Of course it helps to read the policy before trying to argue whether something is covered or not.
