Last time I ordered Kashi cereal from Amazon when they were offering a heavy discount, the cereal (which was in bulk) expired a month later. Usually I will eat things after the expiration, however, I eventually stopped with this cereal since they ended up forming into bricks of cereal and were incredibly stale.

Fool me once...

Ben, can we send samples of Silver Palate Oatmeal for "the Captian" to see if they meet standards?

@31y/oToday_GitEmSteveDave: I only ask b/c Lieutenant Skeeter Commenting Cat is picky.

@31y/oToday_GitEmSteveDave: Lol.. I love that picture of your cat.. He DOES look picky... and if I'm reading your name right.. Happy birthday!

@Kimaroo: Thank you. As for the photo, it's the only one I have of him where he looks smart. Note I said "look".

@dragonfire81: Hells yeah! Most anything you can buy in a store you can get on Amazon. I mean, yeah, you have to buy a case of Pop-tarts, but you get a great deal and free shipping! Plus a case of Pop Tarts!

@dragonfire81: All the time. I'd rather buy a case of something from Amazon if I have the space to store it than buy the same amount when it's on a great sale at the grocery store. Two reasons -- first, Amazon will deliver to my door so I don't have to load and unload the car. Second, I didn't have to take all my kids to the store with me.

This happened to me with some spaghetti sauce. I complained, and they sent me a replacement, but they didn't want the original sauce back. I froze it and use up the new sauce first, then defrosted and used up the "expired" sauce. No problems, and I got double my money's worth!

@Freeloader: Picky cat...is picky. Happy b-day!

I'm gratified to see that, when shipping cats, Amazon uses the correctly sized, environmentally conscious box.

user-pic

@statgrad: Was it a clearance sale? Otherwise you could probably have gotten Amazon to replace it, although I would have microwaved it or something.

@Trai_Dep:

Cool comment!

I too would be interested in having kitty shipped to my door. HOw much is that Kitty in The WINDOW ?

user-pic

@dragonfire81: In Seattle, Amazon Fresh will even deliver your groceries that day if you select it. Or you can setup recurring deliveries of staples.

user-pic

@Trai_Dep: With lot's of Catnip for packing material. Keeps the cat happy AND safe. Or is that stoned and safe, eh whichever.

Please note that they do not have the odd, but highly addictive cookies that contain chocolate chips, shredded bark, and steel wool.

I have to fight with constipated seniors to get these at the market. *hint: threaten to punch their bananas - those bruises never heal.

user-pic

Yeeesh, Kashi tastes like bark. I mean, I've never eaten bark, but I figure it tastes something like Kashi.

@HogwartsAlum: Yeah, it's the only reason he's still alive. Only cat I know who breaks into cabinets then brings the stuff in them upstairs to leave on/near my bed.

@LadySiren: @Freeloader: Thank you.
