Here are eleven—that’s right, count ‘em—wonderful photos readers added to The Consumerist Flickr Pool this week, picked for neatness and usability in a Consumerist post. We were kinda going with a “signs of summer” theme, but then got sidetracked when we saw the Hello Kitties and the gun. Check ‘em out!

Our Flickr Pool is the place where Consumerist readers go and upload photos for possible use in future Consumerist posts. Just be a registered Flickr user, go here, and click “Join Group?” up on the top right, and start hitting “send to group” on your individual photos you want to add to the pool.
Add your shots to The Consumerist Flickr pool, and perhaps they’ll get featured in a future story, or even highlighted in a Friday Consumerist Flickr Pool Finds post. See previous winners of the Friday Consumerist Flickr Pool finds here.

Btw, the blue sci-fi photo is of a tape storage system at CERN, which really does make it sort of sci-fi.

@Chris Walters: what – couldn’t get into the dark matter collection chamber? pshaw! now THAT would’ve been a cool picture. or two. i’ve never seen a really good macro shot of a severed eyeball before…
@Chris Walters: Never has black hole-swirling, gravity-hole-plunging, planetary death looked so… Well, bitchen’!
Good find.
Nicest part: the pretty humming bird can watch the entire thing, hovering from a safe distance (yeah I know, I know: humor me)
Oh I love the dinosaur.
I should post my kitteh picture.
Tape storage *at* CERN? Something tells me if they screw up they’ll want their backups really, REALLY offsite. Like off planet.
(yes I know, any black holes they might create will likely evaporate. Hawking radiation, yadda yadda yadda. Don’t ruin the joke for the mundanes.)
@Paladin_11: That isn’t really “storage” so mach as a tape backup library. Actual storage should definatly be offsite.
I feel like there should be a T-Rex charging in behind the woman in the jungle wearing the raincoat.
I’ve been to the Teapot gas station. It’s just a bit southeast of Yakima WA, right off the I-82 freeway. Worth a visit if you’re in the neighborhood.
Wow! Glad you liked my dino photo!
Lol, it’s hilarious. Thank you.
Awesome, all good pictures this week!
@Wubbytoes: I agree. I can see each of them getting used too.
I love the balloon knot.
heh, heh, rosebuds and starfish too, I’ll bet!
