How about a NSFW tag?

The New F***ing Citibank is funny too

lol, pretty good. I totally imagine that is what is going through their collective minds. They were teetering towards payday loan places anyhow...time to reign them back in. "I know you signed up for a 8% card and have made every payment on time for the past 10 years, have a 780 credit score, and are the perfect customer, but due to 'economic conditions', we are jacking your rate up to 19% now that you have a balance that we estimate will take you 2 years to pay off. Have fun!"

user-pic

@Saboth: 2 years? More like 20 years if you make the minimum monthly payment!

user-pic

Are you ready for the "what the hell lettuce" on this "Fuck us" sandwich?

Awesome.

user-pic

funny or die is the only internet based comedy clip site that is actually really funny. props.. and this was great.. and yeah.. eff credit card companies.. even though i've never had or needed one ever.

user-pic

I think it was decent, but they could have done better with the sound quality so my ears didn't bleed from the KSSSSSSSHHHHHHHHH when they started yelling.

user-pic

Better stock up on Preparation H, credit card companies!

user-pic

Why does EVERYONE complain when credit card companies raise their interest rates but NO ONE bitches when banks lower the amount of interest they pay on savings, CDs, etc?

user-pic

How about a "not especially funny" tag?

user-pic

@AllanG54: Banks still pay interest on savings?

Actually people don't complain because of the relative amounts- bank reduces interest from 0.75% to 0.50% versus a credit card company increasing interest from 13.99% to 24.99%. What is going to cost or save you more? Obviously the credit card rate will cost you more versus the extra $1 you might earn per year on the original savings account interest rate.

user-pic

@AllanG54: Because taking more of what I have is probably seen as worse than giving me less of what I didn't.

user-pic

@nforcer: Yeah, it was pretty good, but they needed a couple of boom mikes and a sound editor bad.

user-pic

Hee!
(This moment of satirical humor made possible by President Obama, the Democratic Party and a scared Republican one realizing that their 12-year romp over the backsides of the American people is finally over)

user-pic

That guy pulled out a German MP40 SMG from World War II.

1) It is not just credit card companies that will be screwed by the Card act but also the consumer. Why do several of you not understand that? So @FuryOfFirestorm, you better stock up on PrepH as well.

If you pay your bill off in full each month you will have higher card fees, interest will start immediately after purchase, and loyalty points/miles programs are being limited

user-pic

CARD act is lame, it's not going to make any difference, other than to raise rates. Truthfully we (speaking for responsible cardholders) were probably better off letting the poor and ignorant subsidize our cash back golden goose by paying all the retarded fees.

user-pic

@bluewyvern: and 4-5 better actors. Jebus, Continuing Ed Amateur Nite.

user-pic

@Dan W:
Hmm... smells like astroturf.

user-pic

@West Coast Secessionist: "...And kids. Yes, you kids. Get. Off. My. LAWN!"

user-pic

@AllanG54:
banks pay for savings ? huh !

user-pic

So, one moment. They really can't use fine print? Seriously? When do we get rid of the completely illegible fine print on tv ads?

user-pic

@CreativeLinks: It could have been worse. They could have sent the execs from the banks down to Gitmo for a different kind of sandwich. (Harold & Kumar reference)

user-pic

@Dan W: yep. pay back is a stone bitch & guess what's coming to the consumer thanks to their audacity in standing up for themselves & the cowardice of congress for not making the legislation immediate.

we are so screwed.
