US Cellular Offering Free Battery Replacements To Customers
If you bought your cellphone from US Cellular in the past 18 months, as of this week you can get your phone's battery replaced for free. We've contacted US Cellular to ask them to answer a couple of questions, namely whether the replacement battery is brand new and whether a customer can swap more than once. If they get back to us, we'll post an update. In the meantime, if you're a customer of theirs and your phone's battery is dying, just stop by any US Cellular store to make the exchange.

I have a MOTOROKR with US Cellular, and it freezes up occasionally. Not often, but certainly more than I'd like it to. Some cell forums online suggest that it may have to do with the battery being defective, and that a new battery would absolutely help.
But, my battery doesn't have a problem getting charged, nor holding a charge. My question, should I go get a new one anyway?
@Yoko Broke Up The Beatles: Yes. They'll just send the old batteries off to be remanufactured. They won't test them.

We got a letter from US Cellular about that. It specifically said the battery may not be new.
It also sounded like it was good as often as you needed it and the letter suggested swapping if you were out of the house and your phone died.
Better than nothin'.
