For some reason, there’s a lot of reading required for this week’s crop.

Our Flickr Pool is the place where Consumerist readers go and upload photos for possible use in future Consumerist posts. Just be a registered Flickr user, go here, and click “Join Group?” up on the top right, and start hitting “send to group” on your individual photos you want to add to the pool.
Add your shots to The Consumerist Flickr pool, and perhaps they’ll get featured in a future story, or even highlighted in a Friday Consumerist Flickr Pool Finds post. See previous winners of the Friday Consumerist Flickr Pool finds here.

Which one is the funny one?
@nataku83: I am guessing the swine flu related one
That top one is somewhat phallic…
@dragonfire81: I don’t think I’d like THAT rocket in my pocket…
Sheesh. I can’t believe that the person who posted these pictures didn’t notice the OBVIOUS SPELLING MISTAKE in the television graffiti photo. What is this world coming to?
Oh… I thought it was Pedantic Friday. My bad.
@unobservant: Reminds me of the one time I was visiting Germany and at a train station someone(s) had climbed across the tracks and up a wall – at what I suspect was great difficulty – to graffiti in giant letters a swear phrase. A swear phrase in english, to be specific, as I imagine that seemed to be the “cooler” approach.
I wish I’d had a camera to take a picture of it – that giant, 6 foot tall spray-painted graffiti in the nearly impossible to reach but so easy to read spot that read, simply:
“FACK YOU”
So what does the last one have to do with anything consumer related. It is just a stupid action figure and a stupid cat.
Here are six better ones:
@I Love New Jersey: Wow – way to hijack a post.
If you want people to see your pics, submit them like everybody else.
@Vanilla5: Not my photos, just six better and more relevant ones chosen at random.
@I Love New Jersey: Extensive research, and Ben being a cat person, mandates that we have pictures of cats in our posts. Submitting your cat pictures to the Flickr pool increases our supply of cats for such posts.
(Also note that by selecting this cat picture in our Friday Flickr Finds, we were able to use a picture of a cat in a post. Bonus!)
@I Love New Jersey: Those were excellent finds in the pool.
@I Love New Jersey: I dont approve of your attitude, but I sure do approve of the pics you chose. Nice pics indeed.
@I Love New Jersey: They used the burning Visa card within the last couple weeks, I think. It is a good pic, and very appropriate for discussions here.
I foresee (forsee?) the Newspaper one being used quite frequently in the coming year(s)
@Jonbo298: that’s a machine for the Sacramento Bee, which already let go much of its staff earlier this year.
@djsyndrome: Actually it’s The Fresno Bee. The three McClatchy papers in Sacramento, Fresno and Modesto are all called the Bee.
Regardless, the second half of your comment still applies.
Celebrate with us the birth of our savior*
*NOTE – our savior is a double/double combo, large sized with a Dr Pepper.
Wow, those are some international gummy bears.
@Wubbytoes: Thats actually really smart. Every food company should just write “Product of a country on planet earth”, then they don’t have to have responsibility for it. smart.
@Wubbytoes: It’s inspiring when gummi bears of every hue and creed and flavor can learn to stick together…
My workplace’s vending machine says “Praise the Lord!” No word yet on how many successful conversions have occurred as the result of a Doritos craving.
I love those gummies, though.
@lalaland13: At your workplace? Unless you work for some religiously-affiliated organization, that doesn’t sound too, well, kosher.
The gummy thingy’s are made on this planet. Maybe.
I could immediately smell that popcycle when I saw that picture. I probaby haven’t eaten one of those in 10 years!
@CaffiendCA: Bomb Pops!
So good..
tastes like a hot summer day, a ringing ice cream truck, and a $1 bill cajoled from mom and dad.
The cat one is great, on many levels.
The cold, dark, shark-like dead eyes of the cat.
The sorrowful, defeated look of the monkey as he stands on the precipice that will be his doom.
All within a moment of the fatal strike.
@Murph1908: We are all the monkey.
anyone ever notice how many manhole covers are made in India?
@geoffhazel: Well, homosexuality is considered taboo in many Indian cultures…
@Alex Chasick: Like anything ever stopped us from using cat pictures in a post.
@Laura Northrup: You can’t use a cat picture willy-nilly. It needs context. It’s like when you make a stew in a croc pot. You can’t just throw anything in there:.
So I think it’s time we cleaned up this thread!
Love the cat one until i saw the hand holding the cat. Sorta lost the magic of it, though it’s still cute.
@Andrew Dorsett: Cats have short legs. They sometimes need an assit.
Chris, How come there’s no poll?
@MooseOfReason: Because I am clumsy and incompetent. Poll next week! If I can figure it out.
MooseOfReason: (2nd response, because first one didn’t show up) Because I am incompetent, and don’t know how polls work. There will be a poll next week.
I love the gummi bears! They look so sad to not know where they came from. From US or Mexico or Brazil or. . . .
