@slickdealer:Read the resources listed above. They paint a very dire picture of promotion and what it means for franchisees. They deserve to make a little money given how royally Corporate screwed them.
Ummm... Does it matter? Free is free. Can a person really be that upset about not getting something from a promotional campaign?
I love Quizno's and would go to it sooner than almost anywhere else...
In fact if Arby's hadn't bailed from the Boston area, Quiznos would be Number 3 on my list.
Currently without Arby's, BK is Numero Uno followed by Quizno's, followed by D'Angelo's.
Knowing the owners helps a lot, knowing the workers ensures good quality attention to my sandwiches...
@Terraxsu: True, but he's right in a sense. There's a reason I go to Quizno's only maybe once a year. My favorite sub, the Honey Mustard Chicken & Bacon, is about $10 after tax. Just the sub. And it's about the same amount of food you get at subway.
Quiznos is overpriced and in the ones that I have been in the people are rude and nasty. second only to Best Buy.
both the stores, along with others, should educate their people to be less rude and demanding. sales are made by an agreement between two parties, not demands.
As an older adult, I resent the way that younger people think that we are stupid and don't know what we want to eat or buy,and have to be told what to eat or buy..
My IQ is over 130 and don't like the inference that I'm stupid.......
In California, a 'gift card' with a value of less than $10 can be redeemed for cash. I wonder how many Californian's received these cards/letters.
If you think a franchise was ticked at not redeeming your coupon, what do you think they'll do when you demand, under state law, the cash value of the card?
Could be interesting....
@dragonfire81:The promo sub was the cheapest one available. It was a value sub or something. They wouldn't let me redeem it for one of the better sandwiches. So yeah, it was a little misleading. I think I've been to Quiznos 3 times in my life. That will probably be my last.
@ShrikirtiHaele: You just had to go and bring up one of those new long and thin ones that I just crave to have in my mouth. Hope I don't get the extra mayo spattered across my face.
I got my $5 gift card in the mail yesterday so I decided to go to Quiznos for dinner. Well, guess what? They swiped the card twice and it didn't work!!! I called Guest Relations to tell them, but the number they give on the letter is only to leave general recorded comments. You can't get a live person at any number I've tried. I'm done with Quiznos. Yes, it's only $5, but it's the principle of the thing.
And as far as the monthly $1 fee goes, that only starts after 24 months of nonuse. Of course I found out on the automated line that my card had been activated in April 2007!
@ShrikirtiHaele: The free sandwich they were giving away only cost $5. So this would be equal in value to the free sandwich coupon you were getting.
From the back of $5 apology gift card:
A monthly fee of $1.00 will be charged after 24 months of non-use until the card value is zero ($0).
So, yes, the value will begin to drop precipitously (relatively speaking) after 2 years. I'll be using mine asap then, like others, ridding myself of Quizno's henceforth unless they make a more public apology and commit to better practices in the future.

What are you going to get at quiznos for $5 including tax besides one of those tiny homoerotic torpedo things. Certainly not the same quality as the sandwich they already cheated us out of.
