Are the plates on sale anymore? they're popping up at a discounted price, but not $2.99.
@emona: Yeah, I saw the same price too. It's my understanding that the 2.99 price was a temporary promo and it's already ended.
@wastedlife: The Krispy Kreme I could go to in DC is too small to really have a line to wait in and get a free donut in the meantime.
@Moosehawk: I think the Wii version has extra levels or something. Still, I thought the original had dual-analog controls? The reviews are good, though, so I assume they worked that out.
The Steam version is the original, at $3.99, actually. And I'm pretty sure it's still available on Live, too, although I'd go for the Steam version just out of spite for Microsoft's refusal to take real money.
@sixseeds: I wonder what Amazon's justification for putting another company's inventory on the page over theirs by default is? I'd assume they'd go customer friendly and show the cheapest one before shipping, but here they have the $60 retailer who charges shipping listed over their own, at $10 and eligible for free shipping on orders over $25. Maybe it just tries to show the one that gets Amazon the biggest cut first, instead.
re: laptop
if you want a small netbook, i'd spend an extra hundred abd get a 10" MSI Wind, 1.6 ghz prox (vs 900mhz), 1 gb ram (vs 512 mb), and 160gb HDD (vs 40/60gb)
look for it on newegg
(granted, if you don't NEED the faster processor or more ram, the amazon deal doesn't look too bad (but isn't an OMGWTFBLACKFRIDAY deal, either) (but you won't be disappointed with the extra power))

You missed the even better deal with those plates from Amazon. In addition to the 12 dinner plates you can get the matching set including the 12 salad plates and 12 bowls for $8.97.
