It's Real: Reader Receives His Tentacle Grape
Last week, we wondered whether Tentacle Grape soda was a real product or a funny/tasteless joke that had turned into a scam, since people had placed orders for it with real cash and had yet to see any product. A reader named Harley emailed us to say a box of the soda just arrived at his address today, along with a condom, naturally. Because that's just classy. He adds, "I can't comment on the taste as I haven't yet tried it, but I don't think I'll be using the condom." Click through for a bigger pic.

Why don't they sign up with a major distributor and get this going state/nationwide? They'd probably lose money by not charging an arm and a leg for 6 bottles, but they'd get money in the long run.

I am kinda glad that this turned out to be real. Now all we need is a distributor to sell it in stores and we're all set!
P.S. is there any confirmation as to the condom being purple and/or having a "Grape flavor" or is it just am ordinary condom with the Tentacle Grape logo on it?
P.P.S. Yes. the answer to that question will affect any and all future purchases of Tentacle Grape soda for me. I demand my novelty soda come with an appropriately flavored and colored condom.

@Thassodar: TG was never meant to be as crazy popular as it is. Originally it was just going to be a short-run boutique product that went away after a month! (har har) If a distributor is interested in this product, they can write us at tentaclegrape.com.
@Keavy_Rain: TG has a handful of wholesalers bringing it to anime cons this season. No major distributor yet though!

Tentacle Grape is taking orders again! Also of note, the website now has a swank ticketing system to handle requests like change of address, replacements, and wholesale orders.
I had some trouble with an order and had some difficulty contacting them, but once I was able to contact them they quickly addressed the issue and made up for the trouble.
This is awesome. Of course I'm an anime fan and a caffeine junkie (yes, Tentacle Grape _is_ caffeinated) so I'm a bit biased. It's available for order again, (for a while they stopped taking orders for it until they could catch up with their backed up orders) and now they sell it in the buyer's choice of six-packs or twelve-packs.
