I actually do like a lot of those things…I was never one of those people who were fearful of public transportation though. I even doze off now on the metro.
Inevitable… that unemployed people can’t pay to keep a website up? Okay. Summary, anyone?
I’m guessing all the hits from consumerist probably crashed the server.
Did Consumerist break their website?
@IT-Chick: THAT was inevitable.
@IT-Chick: Can Consumerist crash a website? I get an error 500, which could indicate a code problem. Somebody think they know Javascript or something?
@HurtsSoGood: Yes. Some low-priced hosting plans only allow a limited amount of file transfer per month or day, etc. Usually you’d see a 509 “Bandwidth Exceeded” error for something like that. But a 500 is a more general “Internal Server Error” that could include something like that.
@IT-Chick: Apparently unemployed people don’t mind waiting for websites to come back online.
How about a Google Cache of the page: Stuff Unemployed People Like
The site got Consumeristized.
@Shadowman615: Shouldn’t that be Consumerist-dotted?
@theirishscion: I was thinking Consumerist-Wanged.
@Shadowman615: Personally, I think “Consumed” would be good.
@Jacob Morgan: Oooh, that one is kind of catchy. OM NOM NOM, DELICIOUS WEBSITES.
Based on the Google Cache (Thanks Keith) I’m going to have to concur with just about all of these. Especially 28 and 21…but really 21. I can’t get out of bed before 10am…and it feels so mean but so right at the same time to watch my SO leave for work. It’s like a little reminder-this is your silver lining…you don’t have to go out into the cold or put on uncomfortable pants and listen to crappy banter about shitty reality show was on last night and pretend you care so you don’t hurt your coworkers feelings…you get to sleep in. I freaking love sleep.
I love sleep too..and pajama pants…but I’d rather be working.
I feel bad laughing at that. Bad karma.
But that was funny.
I have a new goal in life. Go to a buffet and last through two meal shift changes. That’s truly All you can eat.
I am a big fan of #30. Even being employed, I love to read about my former companies misfortunes and rejoice in their misery.
Yeah I get out of bed at 10 a.m. sometimes, and feel terribly guilty about it. But I often go to bed at 2 a.m. just because I can.
A lot of these could go just as well for “What College Students Like.” And I guess these tough economic times are a good reason to stay in college as long as possible…
