Unrelated to article, but has the reply button been acting funny for everyone else, or am I just special?
@cynical_bastard: Seems to be working fine for me!
You might want to fix that coupon code: take off the “q” at the end.
It’s just “wel15em08″.
@cynical_bastard
Nope it is not you. The reply button keeps sending me to the top of the page.
@Joewithay: seems to work fine for me
@Gstein: It just started working!
@cynical_bastard & Joewithay: Same here, and the browser keeps informing me of errors. Maybe some javascript screw up?
@cynical_bastard: I wonder if there’s a hack to get past the broken reply button.

Chrome is pointing the finger at Javascript:

I picked up the Acer notebook on Tuesday. One major complaint: loud fan that cycles on and off at least once a minute. There is no 50% fan level. It’s either full blast or off.
cynical_bastard: It’s still sending me to the top of the page. It kept doing that yesterday, too. I thought it was just me but I guess not.
It’s kind of ridiculous to pay $10 shipping for an item that is on sale for less than $10. Just go to Michaels with the 40% off coupon from the paper and buy something similar.
@pecan 3.14159265: I am referencing the Boscovs art set…
@pecan 3.14159265: @Red-headed bookworm: it seems to come and go..
Great. Steam’s servers are overloaded. /facepalm
@mechfluff: They’ve been since last night…kind of getting annoying.
I would buy the Jeans , but they are those REALLY skinny hipster jeans
Like Jay-Z says “Can’t wear skinny jeans cause my knots don’t fit”
I don’t know what’s up with that art set, but you’d be better off buying each thing individually for quality AND quantity (especially if the shipping is $10). At best, they have the wrong picture up there. At worst, you won’t actually get what the description says is in there.
Not to mention what a crappy deal that’s just shown in the picture:
The picture shown is 101 pieces. The crayon row is two sets of the same colors – even if one row were oil pastels, that’s 17 apiece (is that a crayola randomly stuck at the end?). There’s technically 24 “watercolor pans” …in six colors, and not even a wide enough range to mix new colors with (no black!). 12 bigger colored pencils, absolutely no range of colors (pink, blue, white, then shades of black, grey, brown and dark colors). 12 smaller colored pencils, with only 6 colors. And of course, there’s the 12 random watercolor tubes in the corner.
So essentially, even if the description were correct, you’d be shelling out for a 101 piece set with a functionality literally half that (55 individual colors vs 101 pieces).
