Today Is The Last Day To Vote In The 2009 Bloggies!
Tax Cat here, reminding you that today is the last day to vote in the 2009 bloggies. Consumerist has been nominated for Best Topical Weblog, where we're up against other cats who know nothing of the tax code, and Best Writing of a Weblog. In fact, we've even heard that voting is the single best way to prevent an audit. Go vote now! (or get your files in order...) [2009 Bloggies]

@APFPilot: Let's keep it on topic, please. We've had articles about the comment system and moderation - please post there.
@APFPilot: It makes it a better place. Kotaku recently fired their comments moderator, and that place has taken a nosedive because of it.
@Plates: er, what?
i happen to like recaptcha... it means that site coders/admins don't have to build a captcha system or pay for a pre-built system. (the digitalization of old books is just a perk)
@Plates: Heaven forbid that something you were going to do anyway have beneficial side-effects for anyone.
@Gstein: These systems aren't effective anyway since the spammers have found work arounds, so they are just annoying.

Looks like their site is down. I'll vote for the consumerist, but some of the actions by the comments moderator make me not want to.
