Degrees with the Highest ROI
5. Associate's Degree in Computer Science

If this is a joke, I'm not sure I get it.

There are better ways to spend those two years if programming is what you want to do.

All of the grocery stores in my area have signs up saying that they don't accept "internet coupons" because of "increased fraud".

@larrymac808:
Do they have a self-checkout? My grocery store won't take them either, but the self-checkouts don't know the difference. I've been doing it for months with no problems.

@friendlynerd: I don't know about all the places, but at the K-Roger self-checkouts, you still have to hand the coupons to the (never there when you need one) attendant. --~~~~

@larrymac808:
Ah, I got to a SuperFresh and their self-checkouts let you scan the coupon yourself and then stick it through a little slot.

I think these retailers need to wise up and understand this is the future of coupon delivery. I do go out and buy a Sunday paper but literally only for the coupons. I recycle the rest and never give it a glance.

@friendlynerd: I work at a newspaper -- read the rest! Please! It's how I put food on the table! I need to keep a roof over my goldfish's bowl!

Seriously, though, why is the rest of the paper so bad it doesn't merit a glance? And, uh, you don't live in California, right?

Oh cool! I'm glad the Consumerist folks found my photo useful! :-)

@GinaLouise:
I have no use for it, having read all the news contained within it on the internet hours or days before it was printed. Unless you count the local murder tally, which I have no interest in.
