Every time I see "Armani Exchange" I think I can get something snazzy for cheap, then I see a t-shirt with "AX NYC" all over it and my dreams are dashed against the same rocks that broke up the Spanish Navy.

I have a much older version of that Phillips DVD player, and it is great! It plays most every DVD-R/+R I throw at it, and a decent amount of video formats I throw at it. If you have a Divx/Xvid library, it's well worth it. I'm considering getting the one on sale, since is has a USB port, then I could just hook up my external laptop HDD and play movies off of that.

A cursory glance at the B&N 3 for $10 deal revealed that the books are dumbed-down "abridged for kids" versions. For example, the title page of "Oliver Twist" says "Retold from the Charles Dickens original by Kathleen Olmstead."

I have no idea who Ms. Olmstead is, but if I want to read "Oliver Twist" (or have my children read it), I'll buy Mr. Dickens' version, thank you very much.

I think about a year ago, they introduced a sort of housewares section.

@GuJiaXian: Yeah, it looks like one of those "100 hit songs by 'The Original Artists'" infomercials where you find out only after you receive the merchandise that 'The Original Artists' is a washed-out Boy George cover/tribute band who follow the Bruce Dickinson school of music and include cowbell solos in every song. For most of the song.

Newegg definitely is awesome, was able to use a promo code without any trouble and got 2 512MB RAM sticks for an old PowerMac G4 pretty cheap.

Some of the new products they sell suck.
