If you want a deal from Banana Republic, just go directly to the back of the store. Banana Republic puts all of their new and expensive items near the door, the clearance items are in the back. Many of those clearance items are at a HUGE discount. I’ve gotten a $60 shirt for $8 once (it had a minor blemish). After shopping in the back of the store you will realize how big the markup is on the rest of their stuff.

@HarcourtArmstrong: That typically at most clothing stores, especially the other stores in the GAP family: GAP, GAPkids, and Old Navy.

    Ben,
I’m confused by the ACE Hardware’s ‘20% Off Everything in Your Bag Event’, wouldn’t be clearer to just say “Saturday 2/28 ONLY” rather than “(begins Saturday, one-day only)” – and are you sure it’s one day only, I can’t find that info at the Buxr link or the Ace Hardware site.

@CyGuy: Judging from the past, this is a one day event. Also, participation may vary so check with your local store. Another note, power tools are usually 10% off

FYI – the price on the Polk subwoofer at Newegg has been bumped up to $119.99 from the $100 mentioned here.

i snagged this deal yesterday: [www.kmart.com]

4gb pny thumbdrive for $15.99. it’s what i’ve been looking for b/c it’s tiny & has a keychain hole on the data-side of the stick! seriously – has anyone else noticed the stupidity of having a keychain hole on the data stick’s cap? most sticks i’ve found are designed like that.

    [microcenter.com]

    16 bucks? ouch.

    • mac-phisto says:

@fatcop: that’s a good point – i’ve been looking online for a good deal on these & actually came across microcenter in my hunt. i still think kmart’s a better deal – microcenter wants $5-12 to ship that drive ($5 to wait a week, $12 to get it in 3 days), so the $8 drive is actually $13 or $20 & you have to wait to get it.
