That Rogue guitar was recently on sale at Musician's Friend for $49 - so not much of a bargain.

The school I work at bought some for an after-school guitar class I'm teaching. In case anyone was wondering, they're pretty crappy guitars (what do you expect at that price?). But, they're good for beginners, as it's a small investment if you (or your kid, as the case may be) end up not following through and becoming the next Jimmy Page or Leo Kottke.

Has anyone gotten a refurbished phone from AT&T? I am thinking of switching to a pre-paid cell phone since I only use mine about 10 minutes a month. I don't want to pay a lot of cash but I am leary of refurbished phones.

@Red-headed bookworm: I have (and know others who have) bought used AT&T phones off of ebay, and just put in their own SIM cards. Either to upgrade their phone, or to replace a busted one.

They work fine, and if you get it refurbished through AT&T, you won't run the risk of getting a stolen phone.

I'd go for the cooling pad, but I hate mail-in rebates. No deal.

@AlteredBeast: Thanks. I need to contact them to switch from my plan to pre-paid now that my contract is up. It's such a waste of money when I don't use it that often.
