@Jeremy82465: It is the best idea in the world, until right after you eat the last ounce, at which point you feel it was the worst idea in the world.
Ebags either removed, or never sold all the good bags like the victorinox traveler werks 3.0 collection.
I hate it when stores offer a 20% off sale but when you look at the products they are offering you find that they are models from last year or 2 years ago that they are still trying to sell off.
Additionally, when you compare the 20% off price to other stores who also are authorized resellers the price is identical.
I have yet to find a free lunch, a lot of these companies have internet "map" (min. adv. prices) policies, so for instance you will never see victorinox luggage discounts on a bag from a current collection until the collection is being phased out, and a new collection is released in its place.
Still, I find the prices for luggage to be flush with profits for retailers and manufacturers!
Come on, $300 dollars for a 22" carry-on Victorinox?
What are you guys thinking! The problem is too many people running around with too many credit cards who are creating way too much inflation.

@Jeremy82465: No, that wouldn't be 3.5 pounds of chocolate, that would be 3.5 pounds of brown chocolate scented wax.
That Compaq notebook from Bestbuy is a good deal. I bought the same model but refurbished from Microcenter for $500 a month ago. At the time it was selling for $650. The machine runs fast and not too hot and is perfect for typical tasks. For those gamers out there, i ran Red Alert 3, a new game, medium settings, with no problem.
@Triborough: It may be crappy chocolate...but it has some kind of weird appeal that I love. Something about that slight burning taste. I actually like Hershey's more than other similarly-marketed chocolate because the others don't have that familiar flavor.
@Jeremy82465: I actually got one of those years ago. Don't bother. It's solid and near-impossible to eat, and cutting that much chocolate is bad for your good knifes as chocolate is somewhat abrasive and will ruin the edge, and your blunt knives (ie table knives) make it more effort than its worth. Chopping baking chocolate is different, as it's thinner and often just breaks apart, which is good for breaking it up into small chip-like pieces or for melting. This stuff is full of emulsifiers and stabilizers, so it's just one, big solid chunk that will not go down easily.
Being older and wiser, however, I think it might be feasible to cut these into edible chunks with one of these: [www.createforless.com]
However, then you are spending $30 to cut up a $20 investment. Unless you make a habit of enjoying 7 oz chocolate candies, this is not a wise fiscal decision.
Probably a better idea: [www.creebs.com]
If all you're in the market for is a big chunk of chocolate, consider: [www.amazon.com] . Baker's may not be the best brand, but in most recipes it tastes fine. Plus, it comes in 2 oz pieces for easy cutting, and lacks the weird chemicals in Hershey chocolate with the same unit price as these weird gimicks.
I actually do kinda perversely enjoy regular kisses, though. All I wish is that they came without a wrapper so that they'd be less wasteful.
@Coles_Law: I think Cracked will have to update their list... [www.cracked.com]
Then again, it's pretty much Number 2, but based on more modern pseudoscience than eyebrow monitoring.
I've heard there's a similar system that can measure "concentration" and "relaxation," and provide feedback on a computer screen to improve your abilities to do both or either, but they sound kinda scammy. There's a guy who set up shop with one in our town who says his system can treat autism and ADHD better than current methods (medication, therapy, etc). I seriously doubt it, and I talked my mom out of taking my little sister, who is autistic, to try the system. I think the asking price was something like $600 per session, not covered by insurance. My general practitioner has ads for the guy up in his office, which surprised me a bit.
@discounteggroll: Something to note: benchmarks for the SSD speed improvements for the MacBook Air have been a bit underwhelming. It might just be disk caching in the OS designed for hard disks, or perhaps the SSDs in the MacBook Air have an interface issue. However, sustained read speeds are pretty good in particular, and SSDs are great for low noise, high durability, and lower battery usage, which all go along with the design philosophy of the Air.
Personally, I'd go for the refurbished MacBook, which is $50 less, 2.4 GHZ Core 2 Duo, and has a 160 GB hard drive. It is heavier and thicker, but not bigger, so it would fit in the same laptop bag, and it offers a more complete machine at a better price. I could see this serving as a main machine, and it makes the new, unibody MacBooks look like a rip off, save for the lack of a fast video card, which isn't that important if you don't play games. Plus, considering refurb Macs still include a $100 rebate on any printer on Apple's website, which includes some decent All-in-One printers, and it's eligible for AppleCare, it really makes little sense to buy new from Apple if you're in the market for that level of laptop. To me, it's the best bargain in the whole store, and what I'd buy if I needed a new laptop today.
