Is it me, or does Amazon have a Leatherman sale every week?
And FWIW, the price point on those things are WAY too high. Unless you are an action-movie hero, a Leatherman is only used when you don't have the proper tool for the job. Real tradespeople use wire cutters to cut wire, real saws to cut materials, etc.; the last thing in the world I would use to do any real work is a Leatherman.
IMO even "on sale", $50-$70 is way too high for something that you put in a glovebox or go camping with twice a year.
Maybe that's the point, the cachet?
@savvy9999: "a Leatherman is only used when you don't have the proper tool for the job"
Well, yeah. A Leatherman's for keeping in your glovebox or purse so you have a tool handy when it's needed and you're not trying to tighten a screw with your fingernails. I carried one all the time in college; now it's usually in my car or my briefcase.
I don't use it THAT often, but I've had it for ... 14 years or so now? (Got it in high school) and it's definitely come in handy plenty of times, especially the pliers. You can usually find something to do for a screwdriver in a pinch, but the pliers are a lifesaver!
@savvy9999: I bought a Leatherman Squirt P4 before Christmas during a sale at Amazon. I wasn't sure how much I would use it but it seemed like it may come in handy. I was right. I usually use it at least a couple times per week. It helps that it'll fit nicely on a key chain or in a pocket.
@Eyebrows McGee: My personal favorite is my Gerber multi-tool. The fact that you can open the pliers one handed ROCKS. That and the fact that you are not using the open surface of the backs of the knives as the grip for the pliers helps too. Had mine for ~12 years now.
@David M Pondelick: Yea I'm getting the same here :(
Also I wonder if newegg does a price drop guarantee, I bought this same HDD 2 wees ago for $20 more from them.

Also I wonder if newegg does a price drop guarantee, I bought this same HDD from newegg 2 weeks ago for $10 more ($20 if this code works).
In the future, please list the size of the hard drive right after the brand name (or even before it).
Seagate Barracuda 7200.11 ST31000333AS 1TB 7200 RPM 32MB Cache SATA 3.0Gb/s Hard Drive for $110 w/ Free shipping ($10 coupon has expired)
The part number is WAY less important. I had to search the text like 3 times before I noticed 1TB between St31000333AS and 7200.
Next time try:
1TB Seagate Barracuda Hard Drive (part number -7200.11 ST31000333AS) 7200 RPM 32MB Cache SATA 3.0Gb/s for $110 w/ Free shipping ($10 coupon has expired)
@sleze69: Actually the part # is very important, seagate had issues with some of these drives. This however isn't one of them.
Instead of the SE110, I would go for the white Shure SCL3's from GuitarCenter for $60. They are older but a bit better; they used to be sold as the Shure E3c.
Has Newegg hard drive packaging improved beyond "let's wrap each OEM drive in a thin layer of bubble wrap and hope all the hard drives in the same package don't go all mexican wrestler with each other by the time it gets dropkicked onto your doorstep"?
I think it's time to upgrade my RAID but I can never seem to get more than one drive at a time delivered undamaged from them.

The Teva deal comes up as expired. A shame too-$25 for running shoes is an incredible find.
