Cheers To You! Motivational CD Offers Eight Creepy, Life-Affirming Tracks
If you're down in the dumps and have nowhere else to turn, consider this collection of congratulatory remarks dubbed over applause. Only $24.95! But wait, if you order right now, you'll also get some, uh, pewter puzzle pieces?
If this had been around in the 80s, we're sure it would have replaced Huey Lewis in Patrick Bateman's CD player.

@BlackMage is doing the Time Warp agaaaaaaain!!!: I love how they come up with a new name for a product that has been around for a few years now. You can get two part epoxy in a single stick at your local hardware store.
@Ash78: After listening to the CD I left the house feeling good enough, smart enough, and gosh darnit...I think people liked me!
@nicemarmot617: I agree. When I was younger, I tried some of those motivational tapes and books. I usually came away feeling patronized. Which I find very unmotivating.
@humphrmi: I always wanted to try one of those things...but couldn't seem to get off the couch and to the store to buy one.
@MightyDwarf56: Really? Is that maybe why the video said "failblog.org" in the corner? Or maybe that could explain why the consumerist credited failblog as their source? I have a theory... perhaps the consumerist saw this on fail blog and reposted it because they thought it was funny. Let me know if I'm coming out of left field on that one.
@nicemarmot617: Well after feeling so damn good about yourself, why bother doing anything? All the great jobs, the good friends, the women. They'll all come to you, because you're obviously so damn awesome!
@BlackMage is doing the Time Warp agaaaaaaain!!!:
Home depot sells two part epoxy in the glue section of the paint department. Its also a lot cheaper since you don't pay shipping and handling.
@plasticbiker: I know, right? I use a similar compound to fill gaps in my Warmachine minis (Hail Cryx!). Stuff hardens like a rock.
@root4root: When I saw this ad on TV yesterday I thought it WAS an SNL skit.
How exactly was it "featured" on Ellen's show? Did she make fun of it or mock it? I can't imagine this was given serious treatment on her show.
@puffyshirt:
+1... the question is, if this was in his CD player, would he still have killed a hooker with a chainsaw?
@puffyshirt: The whole album has a clear, crisp sound, and a new sheen of consummate professionalism that really gives the songs a big boost.
@scoosdad: They boast about Ellen's comments on their website. Sounds like she was making fun of it -- gave it to her audience as a gag gift.

Is this what it has come to now that Stuart Smalley is in Congress?
