Interested to see how this compares to TWYS

I love how they say something on their front page about "not having to keep track of receipts anymore!"
So, the IRS will be totally cool with me printing out my Xpenser report saying "exp 1,000,000 charitable donation" once a month?

I think I'll give this a shot. I've always wondered how much I spend on booze.

@weakdome: I think it's more along the lines of not having to added them all up at the end of the year there is a difference between tracking and keeping.

They're going to make a bunch of money selling such in-depth marketing profile data about your habits. And yes, I'm sure they'll say individual data are anonymous, but it wouldn't take much to get your individual data. Lots of potential legal and illegal uses for that, too.

I just signed up for this yesterday, and I have to say it's very well done, every feature worked FLAWLESSLY. Top-freaking-notch!!!!

@lintacious: Agreed. I have been using TWYS for about two months now, and I'm pretty happy with it. I'll check this out.

Check out Mint.com, it does all the work for you.

How is this terribly different from any of the other free online expense management systems, like clearcheckbook.com?

@ckaught78: It doesn't allow you to manually enter in custom(or cash) transactions. You can split transactions but it doesn't have the correct date and you have to have an entry like "ATM Withdrawal" to split into cash spending. I think this tool, minimally, can be use to keep note of your cash(or other) spending and you can reference it when splitting transaction in Mint(or double-check your other spending).

@cmkennedy:

One thing that makes Xpenser great is their recent deal with Dial2do - you can add expenses by voice - no more receipts piling in the wallet and missed minor payments for gum, drinks from vending machines and hot dogs !
