Throw Back A Fresh Glass Of Aquafina Face Juice
Aquafina is now making skin care products...
Obviously they're trying to extend the brand equity they've built up for their water product, hoping consumers will go, "It's like a bottled waterfall for your face!" Could this result in brand backwash? Will the brand transposition go both ways, so that consumers pop open an Aquafina and subconsciously think, "It's like drinking wrinkle cream!"
(Thanks to Katie!)

@tange1: I do believe that it's bottled wherever they sell it - ergo in Eastern PA, NJ, NY, et cetera, it's bottled in Bethlehem (which, by the way, has the best tasting tap water of any that I've tasted - better than some bottled brands).
Aquafina is the brand PepsiCo uses to market the filtered water they use as a base for their soft drinks. It would be more accurate to say that PepsiCo is now making skin care products.
@The Name's Ash78, Housewares: Evian has those little spray mister bottles already. To keep your face fresh while you are jet-setting around the world.
You're right - I don't see Aquafina as the luxury face detoxing youthifying brand.
Evian don't just make the mineral water spray (I actually quite like that stuff, although yes, it is just water in an aerosol can) now - there's a whole range of Evian skincare products. I had a foaming cleanser of theirs for a while. It was ok, nothing special.
But that's Evian. Crappy, nasty-tasting tap water put in bottles by Pepsico doesn't have quite the same, uh, "brand equity", nor the cachet, that Evian does.
@calquist: Even better, it's now at Big Lots - you know, the salvage store of retail - so you know it went over well. I bought some, because you never know if you're going to get a great new product, and at two bucks, it's not much to gamble. My reaction was "meh". Nothing special at all, and it smells faintly medicinal.
Aquafina Hydrating Lip Oil is AMAZING. I have not yet found anything that works as well for preventing as well as healing chapped lips. I suppose there are other lip oils that would work as well, but they probably cost a lot more money. why this stuff only seems to be sold at Wal-Mart, I will probably never know.
also, Aquafina water is awesome. I already have really good tap water, so when I buy the 6-packs of 24oz. bottles for less than $3, and then use each bottle as a refillable water bottle for 6 months or so, I'm not only getting excellent-tasting bottled water to start off with, I'm getting excellent-tasting bottled tap water from my home in a conveniently-sized plastic bottle, that I know is water-safe. Because I don't need BPA breasts.

This stuff has been in Walmart clearance for a while now. Old News?
